31 day Blog Challenge

I spotted this challenge through my twitter account that another blogger was sent. No one challenged me with it but I liked the idea with a bit of tweaking. First of all the challenge for me was going to be changed to 31 blog challenge, not 31 day blog challenge. A reality check made me realize because I work full time, I am incapable of blogging a new blog daily. The whole concept of the challenge is for readers to get to know their bloggers better.

So here goes. I am a mother of three grown children with one grandchild, who is now one years old.

Joshua Robert at 6 months old.

As a teenager, I discovered the wonderful world of fine art and have loved it ever since. I work in many mediums like watercolors and pastels and more. Which is why that is one of my categories for my blogs.

Ever since I was a teenager, I wanted a job helping people but didn’t know to what capacity that could be in. I used to say I wanted to help people with their problems. What I didn’t realize until many years later, was that I was describing a therapist. Many years later, after my children were in school, I went back to complete my BA studying psychology and art. After completing my masters in Counseling and Psychological Services, I became a therapist and then transitioned into being a emergency services clinician, which is what I do now. I perform psychological evaluations on people who come in to the hospitals or our clinic during a crisis and make recommendations on the best care for their needs. So I ended up in a career, helping people with their problems.

I also love to cook, bake (trying out recipes), play games, walk, travel by exploring such as taking road trips with my husband and spending time with my family. As an evangelical Christian, I’m heavily involved in my church, who has been a great support to me.

My husband Marty and I on a road trip to California.
My three children Hannah, Joshua and Faith with my grandchild Joshua.

I have a passion for writing, which is why I chose blogging for extra income for our household. I was one of those students that loved doing research papers. When I chose what my blog was to be about, I could not choose just one topic. I chose four categories- art, travel, life issues and funny antics, subjects that I am passionate about.
